Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yesterday.

Choosing a daycare for your infant or toddler is a big and often difficult decision, and we truly don’t want to add any extra stress to that process. Our infant and toddler programs are intentionally small, which allows us to provide high-quality, individualized care. Because of this (and due to our commitment to our currently enrolled families) we are contractually required to offer them priority enrollment, which can occasionally impact availability for new families.

We strongly encourage families to pre-register as early as possible, even if care is not needed for some time. Pre-registration helps secure your place on our waitlist and increases the likelihood of availability when a spot opens.

If you’d like to discuss future planning with our Enrollment Director, you can email. Please make sure to specify which location you are interested in - in the email. Thank you!

  • We offer two non-exclusive programs at each location, meaning each has its own registration period and enrollment cap, and families do not need to be enrolled in one program in order to participate in the other.

This structure is very intentional and rooted in listening to our community. We understand that not all families need year-round childcare, and we never want families to feel forced to pay for care they don’t need.

During the academic year, we place a strong focus on meaningful, developmentally appropriate learning. While we remain very much play-based, we offer a full preschool experience that includes parent-teacher conferences, developmental assessments, ASQs, and intentional curriculum planning to support each child’s growth.

In the summer, we intentionally shift gears. Curriculum expectations are more relaxed, and our days are filled with exploration, excess outdoor play, creativity, and fun. This balance allows children to enjoy a true summer experience while also giving our teachers well-deserved time to rest and recharge.

This flexible model supports both families and staff and allows us to provide high-quality care year-round without sacrificing joy, balance, or connection.

  • Circle time begins promptly at 9:00 a.m. in each classroom, and we encourage all children to arrive on time and ready to start their day.

In a group care setting, we thoughtfully consider the needs of the entire class. For some children, separating from their families is still a tender part of the day, and arriving late can mean having to re-navigate that transition, which can be confusing or challenging for both the child and their peers. For some classrooms, infants could be adjusting to new schedules, nap routines, or eating and having that interrupted can be really disruptive to their day.

We completely understand that occasional late arrivals are sometimes unavoidable. When this happens, we kindly ask that you communicate with us whenever possible so we can best support your child and help the classroom transition smoothly.

  • We offer several ways to stay in touch and are always happy to help. Please use the option below that best fits your needs.

For questions or updates related to your child’s day, you can message your child’s teacher through the Messages tab in Brightwheel. Families may also contact administrators using the Parent/Admin Messages feature in Brightwheel.

If a Brightwheel message is not addressed in a timely manner, we kindly ask that you call the office or email your Program Director directly.

At times, our teachers and administrators are fully engaged in classroom activities and may not be actively monitoring Brightwheel or email. Please be patient with us! We are but a small business. :)
