The Big Dippers program is designed for toddlers aged 12 to 24 months who are ready to explore, learn, and play in a safe and nurturing environment. With a small class size of only 6-10 students, each child receives individualized attention while enjoying a lively and engaging classroom filled with discovery and fun.

Learning Through Play and Exploration

Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to support toddlers’ growing independence and curiosity, focusing on:

• Sign Language: Toddlers continue to build communication skills through basic signs, helping them express needs and emotions with confidence.

• Gross & Fine Motor Skills: Activities like climbing, dancing, stacking, and manipulating objects help develop coordination, strength, and control.

• Sensory Exploration: Hands-on play with textures, colors, and materials engages the senses and sparks curiosity.

• Cognitive & Social Development: Interactive games, problem-solving activities, and group play help toddlers learn to think, share, and cooperate.

Fun & Engaging Experiences

Learning at this age is most meaningful when it’s joyful! In Big Dippers, toddlers enjoy:

• Storytime & Reading: Books, rhymes, and interactive storytelling spark early literacy skills.

• Songs & Music: Singing, dancing, and movement activities promote language, rhythm, and coordination.

• Play & Exploration: Indoor and sensory play encourage creativity, imagination, and social skills.

• Dance Parties & Group Activities: Energetic, guided activities help toddlers practice following directions and develop confidence.

Meals, Snacks, and Daily Routine

Toddlers in Big Dippers transition to catered meals and snacks, along with Vitamin D milk, while still maintaining a consistent school schedule that meets their individual needs. The classroom routine balances rest, nourishment, and play to support healthy growth and development.

Note: There is not a bathroom in the Big Dippers classroom, so potty training begins when children advance to the next stage.
