health & safety
At Little Stars Preschool, the health and safety of every child in our care is our top priority. We understand that parents want peace of mind knowing their children are in a safe, nurturing, and healthy environment, and we take that responsibility very seriously.
-
We maintain small class sizes and follow strict child-to-teacher ratios to ensure that each child receives the attention, supervision, and support they need. Smaller groups allow our teachers to respond quickly and provide individualized care.
-
Each day begins with (informal) wellness checks to ensure that every child is healthy and ready to participate in daily activities. Our staff are trained to recognize signs of illness, and we encourage families to communicate openly about any health concerns.
-
We have clear, consistent sick policies designed to prevent the spread of illness and protect all children and staff. Children who are ill or showing symptoms of contagious conditions are required to stay home, and we work closely with families to determine when it is safe to return. Our policies balance the need for children to rest and recover with the desire to keep classrooms healthy for everyone.
-
Safety is embedded into every aspect of our program. Our campuses are designed with secure entrances and monitored access. All staff are trained in emergency procedures, first aid, and CPR, and regular drills ensure that children and staff know how to respond safely in any situation.
We also emphasize safe play practices and actively supervise all indoor and outdoor activities. From classroom layouts to playground design, safety is always a priority.
-
We follow strict hygiene practices, including regular handwashing, sanitizing surfaces, and cleaning toys and equipment daily. Our classrooms and common areas are maintained to the highest standards to create a clean and healthy environment.
We utilize a variety of cleaning supplies, including Force of Nature, Bleach, and Multi-Purpose Solution.
